GATES OF LIGHT brings the monumental structures on the Afsluitdijk (legendary Dutch dike built in 1932) back to their former glory. In the dark, the architecture of these structures is illuminated by the headlamps of passing cars, reflecting the light through small prisms. If there are no cars on the road, the structures are not illuminated. This way of using light requires zero energy and does not contribute to light pollution.
Continue readingThe mozaik system is made up of cables wrapped in vertical fabrics that are then separated by a fiberglass rod held by brass connectors. In these connectors the vertical cables receive the low-voltage current needed to power an LED bulb, which is covered by a hexagonal diffuser in fabric. The fabric of the tube as well as the electrical cables can be chosen in many variations of colors of the collection of the materials of the manufacturer. From the rhomboid shape of connectors, tube and cables, all kinds of compositions can be created in both height and length.

Inspiration to solve this problem was found in one of the concepts of modern partial physics, supersymmetry, which explains how the substance can transform into matter. A lighting fixture was designed to help people to switch between their life essences by the simple move and magnetic click. The lamp transforms from a vertical source of soft light to a horizontal source of concentrated light for work, creation, and close communication.
Continue readingThe lamp was designed on the principle of matryoshka dolls. It consists of three metal elements of different scales. They can be rotated and change the appearance of the lamp. To satisfy the customer's taste. These elements can be folded. With this, the lamp will become smaller. This will reduce the box and transportation costs. Each metal element resembles the silhouette of a classic table lamp. But smoother, to resemble the shape of a matryoshka doll. In the middle of the lamp is a sphere made of frosted glass. Inside the sphere are LEDs.
Continue readingThe limited-edition X897 PL1 draws inspiration from the beauty of the cherry blossoming in spring. Maurice Taylor's design comprises folded aluminum layers with a white powder-coat finish that wrap around the light bulb like petals. The pendant light has been designed to carry a removable light filter that subtly taints the layers in color. In total, there are 100 lights and 100 corresponding digital certificates produced. These blockchain-based digital certificates (NFT's) carry a unique, numbered printable artwork linking back to the original inspiration, the cherry blossom.

These materials are MDF, glass and brass. On the bottom plate, USB charging input feature functions. On-Off and Dimming functions are touch controlled which enable users to adjust the desired light levels. A glass holder is included on the base. All the design features make the product to solve many functions and to be used in several areas to create the desired ambience.
