Didi is a handmade product by Magenta. Designers: Ronen Bavly and Ornit Arnon. Through a playful study of folding and reopening of ellipse shapes, like the figure of a pleated skirt, we found the eventual cone, whereas the "folding" lines became light slits. The lamp employs a LED bulb. Its small measures help to retain the lamps' miniature figure and its aesthetic value. “evolution” is a hanging lamp composed by a recycled aluminum plate supporting light diffusers where the “oled” flexible films are side by side along their bending. all the diffusers are the same, but it 's possible, by structurally different plates, to insert more diffusers inside the lamp and in this way to obtain a more decorative lamp. as regard the material to be used for the diffusers i thought to use a corn biopolymer since it’s easily workable and thermoformable. the most interesting aspect of “evolution” is its continously evolving..
The bookLight is a funny book lamp that features shapes of a book. The way to turn on the light is similar to how you take out a book from a shelf. It can be charged both by usb and an adaptor. The lamp was initially designed for a kidswear brand. The inspiration comes from capsule toys which children get from vending machines usually located at shopfronts. Looking up at the lamp, one can see a bunch of colourful capsule toys, each carrying wish and delight that awaken one’s youthful soul. The content of the capsules can be replaced from time to time according to your personal preference. From everyday trivia to special decorations, each object you put into the capsules becomes a unique narrative of your own, thus crystallizing your life and state of mind at a particular time.
